-Of Sacred Things-
“Man, know thyself. Thou art the Flame, and thy bodies are the living altar”
"Of Sacred Things" is inspired by the Hermetic principle “As above, so below”, by the possibility of a likeness or equation of the human being, represented in its most essential form by our anatomy and structure, deep beyond any apparent differences, with the idea of the Sacred expressed through the symbolic language in our history and cultures. With this exploration I want to advance the following proposition:
"If we become aware of our true station in the grand scheme of things, if we realize how magnificent conscious life really is, what would this mean?, would we then act accordingly?”
Consequently with my interest in the archetypal, mythos and narrative, this exploration takes place mainly, though not exclusively, in the context of two mayor stories from different cultures, the myth of Osiris’s death in Kemet, and Arthur’s Camelot. The reason I chose these two myths is because they reflect at a symbolic level the importance of the relationship between the parts and the whole both in the context of the individual and the broader society. My intention with this project is to bring attention to the value and importance of the human life regardless of race and denomination considering the events occurring in our world
This project is work in progress, to support it you can follow this link.

“O King, you are this great star, the companion of Orion, who traverses the sky with Orion, who navigates the Duat with Osiris, you ascend from the east of the sky, being renewed at your due season and rejuvenated at your due time in this your name of 'Kemet”

I have experimented with my approach to stone carving and incorporated techniques such as encapsulations utilizing epoxy resin and pulverized minerals that add to the work permanent and durable colours and a new dimension I’m very excited about. You can see some details of this process in the following video:
-Camelot-
The lord of the land and his noble knights of the Round Table
All ride by rank to receive him, each one to meet him.
Each one that he meets, he grips him in his arms,
Then courteously he kisses him, and kindly him welcomes
As the captain of courtesy, and of counsel noble.
They lead him to chamber, and there they disrobe him,
And afterwards refresh him with revel and joy.
